Close to the historic district of Europe’s biggest seaport, a building with a height of more than 165 metres is being constructed that, upon completion, will offer 44,000 m² floor space on 44 storeys.
These three luffing jib cranes of the 355 HC-L 16/32 Litronic type were used for the first time in the Netherlands. With jib lengths of between 40 and 45 metres, the cranes are covering an area perfectly adapted to the construction site’s needs. The stepless frequency-converter drives are characterized by their high load handling capacities.
In the last construction phase, in June 2009, the cranes reached hook heights of more than 200 metres with only four tie-ins to the building each. Also these anchors and the dismantling of the 3 cranes were executed under the professional direction of the erectors of Van der Spek Belgium.
