At the Copenhagen Forum NF Live and the team behind the massive success "Come Together" present the biggest theater concert ever: "Hey Jude", a musical feast with all the greatest hits of The Beatles.
Van der Spek plays an important role in this show by renting out a tower crane erected inside the theater. The tower crane is essential for the show, where actors and singers perform high above the stage in the jib of the crane and on 20" containers in the hook of the crane.
The crane was already transported from one of Van der Spek's headquarters, in Ternat (Belgium), early October and erected on a site nearby the theater for the rehearsals. This week the crane was brought to the theater to be erected inside on stage.
Biggest challenges were the limited available height for the tower crane, the minium required height under hook to lift the containers standing up and the maximum allowed corner pressure on the stage floor.
Together with the Danish customer the project department of Van der Spek made an accurate calculation for the height of the crane and the corner pressures.
On stage the audience will see some of the best singers and actors of today.
One of the greatest Danish names right now, The Storm leadsinger and X Factor judge Pernille Rosendahl, will get a remarkable theater debut. She will be joined on stage by Cecilie Stenspil - also in her first theater concert – and the actor Troels Lyby. Also performing are Jimmy Jørgensen and Mark Linn, who both were a part of making ”Come Together” a massive success. They are all accompagnied by Laus Høybye and the young star Jaleesa Johnson, who rose to stardom at age 11 in the TV show ‘Scenen er din’.
Van der Spek is one of the largest rental company of Liebherr tower cranes in the world and the biggest provider in Holland, Belgium, Luxemburg and the northern part of France and always tries to expand the possibilities for the use of tower cranes. Also at the least expected locations.
The in Copenhagen erected Liebherr 50 EC-B5 is one of the smallest top slewing tower cranes in Van der Spek's extensive rental fleet and has a maximum lifting capacity of 5 tons and can lift 2700 kgs at the end of the only 20 meters jib.
Big advantages of this type of cranes are the compact construction and the low weights of the components, which makes this crane highly suitable for this job but also for inner city job sites.
The show "Hey Jude" will have her debut on December 28th and will run until the end of January 2013.
After that the crane will remain in Denmark on another rental project.
